Our Articling Program

Articling students at Beresh Law will have the opportunity to gain experience in criminal defence work under the mentorship of Brian A. Beresh, Q.C., who acts as the principal for all articling students at the firm and has mentored over 50 articling students to date. Students will be expected to develop their written or oral advocacy skills by directly assisting on trial matters and appeals. This includes conducting legal research, drafting arguments, making court appearances, and providing support for all the members of the firm.

An important aspect of your articling experience will involve assisting on high-profile criminal cases. As an articling student at Beresh Law, you will have the unique opportunity to be involved in every step of the trial process, including meeting with the client, preparing the case, and sitting as second chair during the trial.

Beresh Law firmly believes that your legal education does not end after law school. Our firm is dedicated to supporting your career development as an articling student by covering your CPLED and Law Society fees. Transforming from a student to a professional has its challenges, and we look forward to assisting you throughout this process.
